Small bar but SUPER friendly people
I had alot of fun for my birthday.
Bad news for the Blue Moon
Yes the Blue Moon is the longest surviving gay bar in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. But one would think that the owners are still stuck in the early 80's. I am a disabled HIV positive gay man who is fortunate enough to have a service dog a Boxer who alerts me to an oncoming seizure. I was at the Blue Moon one evening on the patio with my service dog and one of the owners who was drunk began to yell at me and told me I quote " Get you filthy dog off my patio. I don't give a fuck if you have AIDS you are not welcome at my bar. There is so much wrong with the entire situation . number one I have HIV not AIDS. The American Disabilities Act allows me to bring my service dog anywhere
the public is allowed to go. And for a GAY bar to discriminate against me as a person with HIV in the year 2012 is just outrageous. There is also another bar here called AQUA that also told me that they do not allow service dogs in there bar. Folks this is the most La La land of a beach town I have ever seen. They want to not think or talk about HIV or AIDS and ruin your time in there little Peyton Place. Don't waste your time or money at either place. If anything spread the news to your friends about the discrimination HIV positive people will face in Rehoboth Beach Del;aware.
Food and Drink
This town is great like it was in the50s
couldnt even get a beer
way too busy & couldnt make my way to the bar, needs to add on or something if its gonna be that packed
can you dance or not?
Went there on Saturday night for their "club" thing, it's very poorly planned. you have people watching videos on the dance floor, and there is NO BASS in the sound system
songs, sights, libations, and more
a fun bar always has somethiong happening! Pamala Stanley always gives an excellent performance, and sings something for everyone no matter what your taste. ms richfield puts on a fun show, and karaoke and drag performances happen too depending on the night! highly recomend
Where it all happens!
Blue Moon has been winning over food connoisseurs hearts since it first opened. This spectactular restaurant lounge is by far one of the top restaurants in Rehoboth. Come early and drink late because the bar customers of the Moon are not your typical fine diners. This crowd loves to party, and it only starts here when the sun goes down. Try Thursdays for Karokee, its a blast with all tje hot guys from DC and NYC, as well as my fellow Pennsylvania boys.
Superb Experience
This is what the fantasy gay restaurant experience should be like - fun waiters and waitresses who give attitude and then laugh at their own pretentiousness, overdone but nicely overdone interior (were those crematorium urns with white roses by the fireplace?) but, above all, superb food. Perfect Antipasto, slightly too much for one, just right for two, and good balance. We had duck breast, and Lobster/Shrimp/Scallops with tagliatelle, and both immaculately prepared and delicious. The back bar was packed with... handsome men enjoying cocktails. Exactly what you would like for a wonderful evening out, good men-watching, food, and atmosphere. Worth a special trip.
The Best Relaxing Sunday Brunch, ever.
I had the the most enjoyable Sunday Brunch in a very long time here. The food was prepared to perfection, the wait staff was attentive but not hovering and as friendly as anyone could expect. The price was reasonable and the portions large. There is no pretension here either in the waiters or the bartenders.
I will definetly return again and again
Go there for Pamala Stanley!
I just spent two nights there enjoying Pamala Stanley's voice and the great vibe from Blue Moon!
It's a great hang and I'd go back there anytime.
Drinks are very reasonable and the staff is so nice.
